love the kippah! my mum used to crochet kippahs in a really fine cotton for all the men in our synagogue. she had a list of designs they could choose from for around the edge... the whole nine yards. my dad still has a bunch of his. your post brings back the memory of her sitting on the sofa crocheting kippahs.
